OUR Approach
Our camp offers a uniquely tailored experience for specialist photography tours in the Mara, combining comfort, exclusivity, and expert support to help you capture the best of Africa’s wildlife.
Guests enjoy exclusive use of Mlima, a private camp with self-contained en-suite cottages, spacious living areas with dedicated spaces for photo editing—ideal for individuals or groups of up to six plus a tour leader.
We offer:

- All-inclusive accommodation with your own chef, housekeeping and guides/drivers on hand to take care of you so you can focus on photography.
- 20 minutes drive from Musiara airstrip and less than 30 minutes drive from prime areas for lion, leopard and cheetah photography.
- Specially modified and open vehicles for low-angle photography that is only for you or your group.

MLIMA | Maasai Mara
The Maasai Mara has always been the heart and soul of our photography, and it is where our journey began, when John built MLIMA ten years ago.
Prices start from $550 per day at MLIMA, which includes:
- all-inclusive accommodation
- full day game drives with professional guide
- park fees (currently $200 per day during high season)
Prices do not include:
- international flights
- tips and gratuitues
- insurance
CUSTOMISED VEHICLES
Understanding the unique needs of photographers, our safari vehicles are specially modified to enhance the photographic experience.

Our team comprises seasoned professionals with extensive experience in wildlife photography and guiding, working with professional photographers and film makers.

- radio connection to a local network of Maasai guides to always allow us to know immediately what sightings are happening
- personal guidance on composition, exposure settings, and photographic techniques to capture the essence of wildlife behaviour while out in the field.
Flexible schedules
We understand that wildlife doesn’t adhere to a clock, and offer a vehicle and guide for full day adaptable safari timings, so we can start out for as long as needed to maximise photographic opportunities.
